08/04/17 - My Genre
The genre I chose was Environment because I like to take pictures of scenery. Whether its the sky, water, grass, or anything else! I mainly like to take pictures of sunsets because I think the color adds to the picture. I have captured genres like this before especially when i'm on road trips. Most of my images fall into different categories.
08/09/17 - Composition Through My Lens
Good Composition

This image shows Good Composition because it shows how the focus is on those leaves and focused also on the sticks. The rest of the background is blurry to give more detail. The wall in the background also is white so it makes the green of the leaves pop out against the brown sticks and white background.
Bad Composition

This image shows Bad Composition because the two shoes aren't really touching and only the tips are. The background is not very pretty either which takes away from the colors. The shoes are not in the proper position to be placed correctly.
08/11/17 - Applying the Rule of Thirds
Before Applying the Rule of Thirds

Oops! We have a problem. We took the picture in the center which didn't apply the rule of thirds. The focus points are not where we want them to be. All of the focus points are not grabbing the attention onto what we wan't. Let's fix that!
After Applying the Rule of Thirds

Now that we cropped it, it shows the focus points on what we were aiming for! It shows the focus onto the side and grabs the attention. In the background you can clearly tell that we are at a playground! You can see more of the other slide in the background to give it more of a pop.
After Applying the Rule of Thirds

We now added the grid. You can now clearly tell that the focus point is where it is supposed to be. One of the 40% focus points are on our faces which grabs attention. the 25% focus point is on our legs, the 14% focus point is on the sand right below the slide, and the last 20% focus point is next to the slide right underneath the car. So, adding the grid helps show us how the picture has been modified.

08/24/2017 - My Name - Alphabet Photography

My name is Jazmin. I've noticed that in my "GIF" picture, In the sign it has letters in my name. So, I used the A,M, and I for my name. The letter "J" in my name, I found it in a pipe that was in the school. So, I just flipped the image upside down to create a "J" like shape. I found a zigzag painted on my classroom's wall so i was able to crop it and flip it to look like a "Z." I also thought that the curve in the back of my chair looked like an "N." So, that's how I spelled my name using lettings i found in everyday objects.
